Its population density is 1,246.9 inhabitants/km². Fajã de Baixo has a road that connects Fenais da Luz and Ponta Delgada. Situated on the outskirts of the city of Ponta Delgada, of which it is about three kilometers away, it is bordered to the north by the parish of Fajã de Cima, to the south and east by the s. Roque and to the west by s. Pedro (urban). Of poorly rugged soil, it is low and flat in its central space (hence the name of Fajã), from where only two hillranges, the highest of which are called Pico da Abelheira, with 131 meters of altitude. The main activity is the agriculture and culture of Ananás in glass greenhouses, unique of its kind in the world.
